Misty Trevino, FNP-C
Advanced Practice Clinician
Mrs. Misty Trevino was born and raised here in San Antonio where she enjoyed growing up on the west side of town. She enjoyed playing volleyball, basketball, and participated in academic competitions, music and dancing.
After ten years of working as a bedside RN with some of the sickest patients in a hospital setting, she saw a common trend in the community. Patients were being admitted into the hospital for situations that could have been prevented or would have had better outcomes if the patient had received proper medical care, education and treatment in the primary care setting. At that time, Mrs. Trevino chose to go back to school and become a certified Family Nurse Practitioner so she could provide the proper care, education and treatment to her patients in the primary care setting.
This is her way to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and keep her patients healthy to enjoy the highest quality of life. Her focus is preventive medicine along with enhancing medical care for those patients with a chronic illness.
When not seeing patients, Mrs. Trevino loves to do crafts. She designs T-shirts, bags, tumblers, jewelry and other trinkets. She enjoys salt water fishing, Forensic Files, playing Mario Kart & Galaga with her husband as well as having girl time with her daughter.
