Spreading Health to Texans in Need

Providing primary and chronic care to those displaced by Hurricane Harvey

(SAN ANTONIO, TX – September 7, 2017) HealthTexas Medical Group of San Antonio is fulfilling its core purpose of providing quality and compassionate care with outstanding service to those most in need by aiding fellow Texans currently displaced by Hurricane Harvey.

Effective Monday, September 11, 2017, HealthTexas Physicians and staff will be volunteering their time at all 17 HealthTexas city-wide locations to help care for families affected by Hurricane Harvey. HealthTexas will be offering primary care for simple as well as chronic medical problems to all Texans currently displaced by Hurricane Harvey. This care will be provided at no cost to the patient. The goal at HealthTexas Medical Group is to help displaced Texans take care of what matters most, their health; regardless of their ability to pay.

“Over the past few weeks, we have all been asking ourselves what can we do to help; and physicians and medical staffs across Texas are no different. As a medical group, we recognize the need of medical care beyond the first weeks of this disaster. HealthTexas providers and associates wanted to provide our fellow Texans a medical home “away from home,” Senior Medical Director Dr. Kristi Clark said.

In 3 easy steps, appointments can be made:

  1. Call 210-572-8895
  2. Inform operator that patient is a HealthTexas Harvey Clinic Patient
  3. Inform operator of current address and the operator will make an appointment on the spot

If available, patients will be asked to bring identification.

HealthTexas Medical Group was established by local physicians who recognized a need for primary care doctors to play a more significant role in a patient's overall health and wellness. HealthTexas includes 17 locations with over 50 primary healthcare providers utilizing a medical home model of care. Our physicians’ success lies in the fact that each physician takes a hands-on approach to looking after patients throughout all phases of life.
