Matthew P Gibbs, MD

Dr. Matthew Gibbs is from East Texas; he was raised on a cattle ranch. He began his professional career in solo medical practice in both office and hospital settings. After over a decade of practicing as his small-town mentors did, he came to understand his true calling and made the transition to full-time hospital medicine.

Dr. Gibbs has a passion for helping and caring for his patients. He enjoys working on and solving challenging puzzles and making those complexities understandable to his patients and their families. He compares it to being kind of like a science teacher.

When not treating patients, Dr. Gibbs enjoys his family time, ranch and wildlife management, wood and metal-working.
