Matthew Vela, FNP-C

Mr. Matthew Vela was born and raised in the Corpus Christi area, but he and his family now call San Antonio home.

Mr. Vela began his medical career as an ICU nurse. He noticed many came in with end-stage organ dysfunction. He enjoyed educating patients and their families with treatment and education instead of waiting until the patient ended up in critical care. Mr. Vela enjoys the opportunity to help his patients maintain their optimal health from a primary care setting.

When not meeting patients, Mr. Vela enjoys traveling, exploring the outdoors around the greater San Antonio area with his wife and three boys. He also volunteers as a youth sports coach for his two oldest sons.
