About Us
In March 2021, we moved our Southwest Military Clinic to a larger, more contemporary space, reflecting our commitment to the significant growth potential within the Southside Community. The SWM Clinic now spans 11,000 square feet, accommodating 24 examination rooms and serving 6 healthcare providers. This clinic also serves as the clinical base for our esteemed Medical Director, Dr. Luis Torres.
Originally established in 1995 as the second clinic for HealthTexas, the SWM Clinic has been a pillar of stability in the heart of San Antonio’s Southside community for decades.

Yes, we have bilingual doctors and staff members available at all of our clinics. If you prefer to communicate in a specific language, please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Only existing patients can schedule an appointment online through our Patient Portal. Simply click the “Patient Portal” tab on the top of the page.
Yes, HealthTexas accepts a wide range of insurance plans including Medicare and Medicare Advantage. We do not however accept Medicaid only or The Marketing Exchange (Obamacare). To verify if your insurance is accepted, please contact any clinic.
