From India via Rio Grande Valley to Alamo City Doctor Jasmine Garcha Joins HealthTexas

Physician also a huge "FOODIE" for ethnic food

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (JANUARY 2024) — Dr. Jasmine Garcha was born and raised Chandigarh, India. She graduated medical school from Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences & Research in Punjab, India, and completed her residency in family medicine at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

“I love South Texas, especially the Valley, because the climate reminds me of home,” Dr. Garcha explains. Her hometown of Chandigarh is about four hours north of capital city New Delhi.

San Antonio is a good fit for Dr. Garcha, who also married husband, Sartaj, in the Alamo City before knowing that she would end up practicing medicine in San Antonio with HealthTexas.

Dr. Garcha finds it extremely rewarding to help her patients achieve their desired health goals.

Dr. Garcha is building meaningful relationships with patients at the HealthTexas Val Verde clinic, 810 S.E. Military Drive, SATX (78214).

Dr. Garcha selected HealthTexas because it is physician-led, patient centric and doctors are provided the resources necessary to provide the best possible care for all patients.

Dr. Garcha enjoys spending time outdoors in nature, taking long walks/hikes with hubby Sartaj, an engineer, traveling and spending time with family. Her next love is trying out new food at restaurants around town that serve ethnic or culturally-sourced foods. This includes Thai food, Italian, and Indian.
