HealthTexas is proud to welcome Dr. Sherida Suarez to its growing team of compassionate healthcare providers dedicated to delivering personalized, patient-centered care to the San Antonio community
Born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, and raised in McAllen, Texas, Dr. Suarez developed an early passion for healthcare while growing up with parents who were both dentists. Her interest in medicine grew from a fascination with the human body and a desire to help others through compassionate care.
One of the most meaningful experiences that shaped her approach to medicine was helping care for her grandmother during her battle with terminal pancreatic cancer. That experience reinforced the importance of compassion and helped her understand the value of caring for not only patients, but also the families who support them.
Growing up in the close-knit Hispanic community of the Rio Grande Valley also influenced her perspective on the importance of accessible healthcare and strong patient relationships.
Dr. Suarez is committed to making patients feel heard, valued, and supported by taking the time to listen and better understand their individual healthcare needs.
As she begins this next chapter with HealthTexas, Dr. Suarez looks forward to serving the community alongside a team that genuinely prioritizes compassionate, patient-centered care and lives out the core value Integrity of doing the right thing the right way every single time.
