Mayery Barroso, FNP-C

Ms. Mayery Barroso was born in Laredo, Texas but considers San Antonio her home. After receiving her first Bachelors’ in Biology, she decided to attend nursing school in San Antonio.

She received her second degree in Nursing and worked as a bedside Registered Nurse for 5 years. During this time, she was able to see first-hand how the Hispanic community is disproportionately affected by preventable diseases. Being bilingual allows her to educate her patients on the interventions needed to prevent such diseases. She focuses on empowering her patients to become advocates of their own health.

When not treating patients, Ms. Barroso enjoys spending time visiting park trails in our community and spending time with her family and friends.
