Ana Maria Calderon, MD

Board Certified Internal Medicine

Doctor Calderon was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. Upon graduating from the nation’s prestigious Universidad El Bosque with her medical degree, she continued her Internal Medicine training at New York Downtown Hospital, an affiliate of Weill Medical College of Cornell University, in New York City.

Dr. Calderon wanted to be a physician early in her childhood. She always had a great interest in the human body and loved helping people. Becoming a primary care physician seemed to be a natural fit. Since she was a little girl, she dreamed of helping people get over their physical ailments. As she grew older, that passion grew stronger and she feels it is a privilege to help people with their healthcare.

Along with her expertise in primary care, Dr. Calderon is also Board Certified in Obesity Medicine. She has helped many patients find joy and a healthy satisfaction from her training in this area.

Patients and colleagues praise Dr. Calderon for her attention to detail, her expertise in her field and her ability to relate to all types of patients. She truly is a one-of-a-kind primary care physician.

When not taking care of her patients, Dr. Calderon enjoys working out to keep herself in good physical condition. What feeds her soul, however, is sponsoring a child in Guatemala the past decade through Children International. She enjoys seeing this young man grow and have opportunities in his life that may not have been there without her support.

Dr. Calderon is married and has two beautiful daughters. The family recently got their first pet: a beautiful betta fish named Colorful.

Dr. Calderon looks forward to being your doctor taking care of all your health care needs.
