Archana Varma, MD

Dr. Archana Varma was born and raised in India. She graduated with a Masters and Ph.D. in Microbiology from Jawaharlal Nehru University. She worked as a Research Scientist at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, before switching her career to medicine. Dr. Varma also practiced as a Family Medicine Physician at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN for several years before moving to San Antonio to be with her family.

Dr. Varma tries to connect with her patients personally and provides high levels of care to her patients. She is inspired by quality healthcare, value of human life, compassion, empathy and devotion. These values make her patients enjoy having her as their primary care physician.

When not treating patients, Dr. Varma enjoys spending time with her family, going on nature walks, creating arts & crafts, gardening and cooking.
