David J. Gomez, PA-C

Mr. David Gomez was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed the Interservice Physician Assistant Program at Fort Sam Houston. He received his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center, earning his Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. He is bilingual and proudly serves both English- and Spanish-speaking communities.

Mr. Gomez was inspired to pursue a career as an advanced practice clinician while working as a home health nursing assistant. During that time, he cared for many patients who suffered complications from uncontrolled diabetes, including limb loss. This experience motivated him to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives through preventive and primary care.

With more than 25 years of experience as a primary care physician assistant, Mr. Gomez has served patients across multiple clinics throughout San Antonio. His achievements include graduating on the Dean’s List from UT Health and being named Physician Assistant of the Year by the Bexar County Physician Assistant Society in 2018.

Outside of patient care, David enjoys spending time with his family and hiking in nature. He is also a black belt in martial arts and previously competed in full-contact tournaments. He is happily married and is the proud father of two children, along with three beloved dogs.
