Rio Grande Valley Doctor Rodrigo Najera Joins HealthTexas

BILINGUAL PHYSICIAN, FAMILY MAN & SPORTS FAN

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (OCTOBER 2023) — Dr. Rodrigo Najera was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas. He graduated in the top five of his class from Universidad de Monterrey Medical School and completed his Family Medicine residency at Houston Methodist.

San Antonio is a good fit for Dr. Najera.

With a majority population that is Spanish-speaking, Dr. Najera builds an instant rapport with his senior patients who feel more confident speaking in Spanish to him.

Dr. Najera is building meaningful relationships with patients at the HealthTexas Highlands clinic, 1910 S. New Braunfels, SATX (78210).

Dr. Najera selected HealthTexas because it is physician-led, patient centric and doctors are provided the resources necessary to provide the best possible care for all patients.

“I can spend more quality time with my patients,” he explains. It is a form of comprehensive adult care where familiarity with a patient’s medical history helps the physician make a difference in their lives.

Dr. Najera enjoys all sports including basketball and football, and admits to rooting for the Houston Texans when the NFL team plays. He is also the quintessential family man. Married 15 years to his wife, Ivette, and they have a daughter, 13, and a son, 7, rounding out his familia.

Besides reading interesting books, he also enjoys movies. His most recent film was “Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning, Part One” with Tom Cruise.
