Gabriel Ortiz, MD

Dr. Gabriel Ortiz is a native of D’Hanis Texas, just 50 miles west of San Antonio. He is board certified in Family medicine and is bilingual in English and Spanish. Dr. Ortiz enjoys getting to know his patients and helping them to improve their quality of life. He has a special interest in diabetes and educates his patients on better lifestyle choices.

Dr. Ortiz serves as the chair of the HealthTexas Physician Board. He is a past president of the Bexar County Medical Society (2013), and is a member of the American Academy of Family practice and the American Medical Association. Additionally, Dr. Ortiz is consistently recognized by his peers and patients as a Best/Top Doctor in San Antonio.

When not treating patients, he enjoys outdoor sports and spending time with his family. Dr. Ortiz is married and has two sons and two daughters.
