Mrs. Lisa Reyna was born in Illinois, grew up in small towns in Ohio and Indiana and later, she moved to Texas. As an Advanced Practice clinician specializing in wound care, Mrs. Reyna enjoys seeing the progress made by patients as she treats them to better health. She especially enjoys seeing the smiles from patients as they both see the wound heal.
Mrs. Reyna was one of 3 civilians admitted in the first Physician Assistant class at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) that combined civilian students with military students. This was the origin of the Physician Assistant School at University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. She quickly realized that she loved the team approach of collaborating with the physician to give the patient the best all-around care possible.
When not tending Mrs. Reyna enjoys using her hands to fix or build something. She considers herself a true DIYer. In fact, her favorite gift is when her husband surprises her with a new tool.
